SENTEC MONITOR [Learn More] [Brochure]
The SenTec Digital Monitoring System (SDMS) is a fully functional stand-alone system comprising the SenTec Digital Monitor (SDM), the V-Sign™ Sensor, a sensor extension cable, and disposables for sensor application, calibration and membrane exchange. The SDMS provides ACCURATE, continuous, noninvasive real time monitoring of patient PCO2, SpO2, and PR. Through continuous and noninvasive real-time monitoring clinicians can better assess patient ventilation and oxygenation in virtually all clinical settings.
The SenTec Digital Monitor (SDM) is a lightweight (2.5 kg) stand alone monitor with a TFT color display and an integrated, fully automatic calibration chamber. The SDM has a non-volatile FLASH memory which offers the possibility to record up to 12 days of patient data. The internal battery has a capacity of 6 hours. The firmware of the SDM supports 13 languages as well as various user selectable screens.
Various serial interface protocols (Philips VueLink, Spacelabs Flexport, SenTecLink, Serial Printer, SenTec Datalogger) enable to interface the SDM with bedside monitoring systems, PCs, the Seiko DPU-414 THERMAL PRINTER or the SenTec Datalogger. Through its analog output the SDM can also be interfaced with Polysomnographic-Systems (PSG).
The V-Sign™ Sensor is a digital sensor for noninvasive and continuous monitoring of transcutaneous carbon dioxide partial pressure (PcCO2), oxygen saturation (SpO2), and pulse rate (PR). It combines the elements of a Stow-Severinghaus type PCO2 sensor and a pulse oximetry sensor. The V-Sign™ Sensor uses SenTec’s patented digital sensor technology.
The V-Sign™ Sensor is suitable for pediatric and adult patients. In neonatal patients the use of the V-Sign™ Sensor is currently indicated for carbon dioxide tension monitoring only.
